Oh, hi.

I'm new to blogging. I've never even been successful at journal keeping. BUT! I'm going to give this whole blogging thing a try. 

I've recently married my best friend. I say recently, but its actually been six months. We met in college and were the people that we talked to about our relationships with other people that were clearly not right for us. We finally began dating during our senior year, and decided to get married a few weeks after that. But money and timing and blahblahblah... three and a half years later we finally made the marriage we felt in our hearts legal and official. Legal marriage is another entirely-too-long post...

Josh and I were fortunate enough to find a little house shortly after getting married, and I guess that's why I've delved into blogging. I like making things, for myself and for other people. I want our home to be colorful, eclectic, thrifted, crafted...  I can only take so much of the neutral, rustic, traditional decorating I've seen all over Pinterest and Instagram, and I know I can't possibly be the only one. Therefore, I plan on documenting some of the changes we'll be making in our home here, as well as the creative projects that I'll be taking on.
